Young people
Everyone has the right to feel safe in their family, in their neighbourhood, at school and at work.
If you are being affected by violence, there are always people you can talk to.
You may be able to talk to a relative, parents of a friend, a neighbour or sports coach.
If you are at school you could talk to a teacher or guidance counsellor.
You could ring 0800 456 450 and find out what organisations there are in your community for young people affected by family violence.
Here are some websites which offer support and information for youth:
What's Up: provides early help to children and teaches them skills that will help prevent the development of major problems later in their lives
Youthline: is a nationally linked youth development organisation, providing a range of services
NZ Police: have information about bullying
No Bully: is a website with information about bullying and what you can do about it
