There is HopeGrowing up in my family wasn't easy. I was second youngest in a blended family. My mum loved her drink and drugs. My dad worked long hours to support us.
The siblings from my mum's first marriage had very bad things happen to them as children, which they thought was normal. My older brothers both sexually abused me because it happened to them.
I have memories and scars I have to live with for the rest of my life. I didn't tell anyone till I was 17, when one of my brothers tried to rape my sister when they were drunk.
However, during school I got some help from a counsellor who specialised in sexual abuse. She made me realise all the self-destruction I had been through, self harming, lots of sexual partners, pushing everyone away, was just a coping mechanism for everything that happened.
One of my brothers recently opened up to me and told me what happened to him as a child and we have started this amazing path of healing. My other brother will never admit what he did so I have learnt to cope with that.
I am only 20 years old and this is my story.
